Golden SX was developed in 1995. It was developed because our first trading system, Catscan, had generated quite a lot of profits. So many of these Catscan owners asked if we would develop another system based on an entirely different concept. They wanted to diversify not only in the basket of commodities they were trading but also diversify by trading two systems with different trading approaches. Golden SX was released in 1996. It is based on a remarkable new indicator. This proprietary GSX indicator is only available to Golden SX system owners. In addition to the GSX indicator, Golden SX waits for a slight retracement before entering a trade. Entering a trade after retracement improved the probability of trade success. There’s also a component built in to help assure that we enter trades with strong momentum. For risk management the system has an initial protective money management stop to protect against catastrophic single trade losses. Once the trade generates good profits, a profit based exit tightens up the stop to protect some of our profits. Golden SX takes about 8-10 trades per year per commodity. It’s in the market about 67% of the time.

Randy Stuckey created the Golden SX system. He is the founder of MindFire Systems which just celebrated their 10 year anniversary as system developers. Randy received his early education at Purdue and Indiana University graduating with a BS in Quantitative Business Analysis. His career in the manufacturing world provided a solid base in Statistical Process Control and the Design of Experiments. Prior to launching MindFire Systems he was an engineer, statistics trainer, department manager and eventually a corporate director. No one has the GSX indicator. This may be why, by 1997, a year after its release, it had risen to the top. The independent Futures Truth tracks hundreds of trading systems.
